Dance Teacher

Dance Tutor Daily Rate: £180 PAYE or £210 Umbrella Location: East London Job Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a dynamic Dance Tutor to join our Performing Arts Team This position involves teaching FE students aged 16-19 both the theory and practical aspects of dance. The role is part of a vibrant and immersive two-year UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma programme that combines acting, dance, and production elements. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging dance lessons in various styles such as tap, ballet, and Afro-fusion, ensuring a blend of practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Contribute to the course curriculum that covers a wide range of disciplines including screen acting, audition techniques, and set design. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help students grow and excel in their dance and performance skills. Collaborate with other tutors and staff to enhance the interdisciplinary approach of the programme. Motivate students to develop their unique creative voices and build their performance confidence. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Dance Tutor or similar role, with the ability to teach both theory and practical aspects of dance. Strong knowledge of various dance styles and the ability to teach students of different skill levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage young adults. Creative and dynamic teaching approach. Professional training in dance or a related field is highly desirable. Benefits: Competitive daily rate.
